Clinical Lead

A superb opportunity exists for an inspiring, experienced Clinical Lead to join our medical cannabis business which provides Schedule 2 Controlled Medicinal Cannabis prescriptions for patients with Psychiatric, Pain and Neurological Conditions where conventional medicine has been unsuccessful.

This role will have you working for one of the fastest growing private clinic and pharmacies in the UK based within the Holborn area.

You’ll require the following essentials to be considered for this position:

  • Current or recent experience of working within a Clinical Lead based role
  • Be a GMC Registered General Practitioner
  • Have a genuine interest in the benefits of Medicinal Cannabis
  • Be highly organised with strong leadership skills
  • A natural problem-solving mentality, adept at finding innovative solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The Clinical Lead is a pivotal role involving providing guidance and support to other clinicians, ensuring that all clinical practices and protocols are being followed, and working closely with others to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

 

Within this position, you’ll also be carrying out the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Clinical Operations Officer for Clinical Concerns
  • Clinical Supervision of Specialist Consultants
  • Triaging Summary Care Records
  • Leading and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure safe and appropriate prescribing
  • Taking Responsibility as Clinical and Safeguarding Lead
  • Assisting with clinical queries from patients
  • Processing Repeat Prescriptions
  • Conducting review consultations
  • Lead and manage the clinical team to ensure optimal performance and patient care
  • Monitoring and Updating Prescribing Guidelines to provide safe and effective prescribing
  • Support training initiatives for Clinical team members, to ensure continuous professional development
  • Organise and facilitate team meetings to enhance collaboration and communication

 

Working hours and Salary

Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm.

Consultant Neurologist (Neurology)

A superb opportunity exists for specialist consultant doctors, specifically within neurology to join a medical cannabis business with their own private clinic and dispensary.

At Mamedica, we ensure that our patients receive first class advice from specialist consultants to provide exceptional care.

This business specialises in cannabis-based prescriptions (from oil to cannabis flower), for patients who have not found satisfactory results for their conditions with their previous medication. We provide virtual consultations for pain, psychiatry, neurology, palliative care and cancer related conditions


You’ll require the following essentials to be considered for this position:

  • GMC Specialist Registration
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Leadership skills appropriate for participating in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
  • Decision making based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others
  • Valid Indemnity Insurance
  • Current DBS, registered for update service

You will be required to conduct remote video consultations to evaluate the unmet clinical need to prescribe CBPMs to patients in the UK.


Within this position, you’ll also be carrying out the following duties:

  • Reporting to the COO
  • Assessment of patients holistically based on summary care record and specialist reviews
  • Conducting initial consultations and reviews at given intervals
  • Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Liasing with other specialist consultants
  • Escalating safeguarding concerns
  • Arranging rewrites for patients if required
